The top portion of the costume was fine. The belt was a rubber piece that had a ribbon attached to it to tie on. It was not like the photo at all (no detailing on belt). The pants were not the ones in the picture at all. They belonged with the less expensive costume. They were completely see thru and were white with a pale yellow shoe cover. I was completely unimpressed and called the company (Costume Kingdom) who said it was sent from the manufacturer that way.

It is not worth the price tag! I expected it to look like the picture. It is cheap quality as well. Needed it for a school function, not a good costume!!

We LOVED it. My son is 3. The smallest size available is a size 5. I had to cut the costume and hem it using the iron on fabric glue stuff. The pants fit skinny so I did not really need to alter those. I just stuffed the extra length in the top of the boots. I had to hem the arms as well as the bottom of the robe to make it work for him. It took about 30 minutes of work and I have no experience doing things like that. We really enjoyed these 3 costumes.

I ordered the size small for my 4 year old son. The costume either runs very big or we got a missized costume because everything was big on him especially the sleeves on the jacket. The pants were also long but tolerable over clothes. We ended up having to "hem" the sleeves with double sided tape.

I would return this if our school Halloween party was not just a few days away. As others have noted, the quality on the costume is very poor. The "tunic" is a kind of yellowy-white cheap polyester. I don't expect exceptional quality from this price-point, but this costume is a whole new level of cheap. The sizing is way off--I took previous reviewers' advice and sized down, but even so, the size small (listed to fit a 3-4 year old) is enormous on my average-sized five-year-old: The sleeves are way too long, the length is dress-like (not like a tunic). It will have to be altered since the sleeves are too polyester-slippery to roll up, and the length makes it look just plain sloppy.
I ordered this despite the reviews because my son is obsessed with Luke Skywalker--I figured that even if it was cheap, at least it would serve its purpose for Halloween. It's such a simple costume to get right that it's kind of amazing how much it gets wrong. The pants are just plain ugly--they don't "read" as anything other than cheap, and they certainly don't look like pants tucked into boots at they should. But I could deal with the cheapness if the costume came together to the overall effect of looking like Luke Skywalker; Most unfortunately, the costume fails here too. It just kind of looks like a mess of ugly fabric, and if not for the belt it would utterly fail to approximate "Luke"altogether. The belt is rubber and tied with fabric at the back, which I don't mind, but it seems silly that it doesn't include some sort of loop for hanging a light saber (not included of course).
Overall, it seems the manufacturer has has spared no effort to cut every corner possible. I honestly feel a bit duped, and I'm embarrassed that my son has to wear it.
