 Epic fail, this product is!Sep 04, 2010
Every once in a blue moon, a product comes along that captures the imagination like no other. You hear about it, you think "Wow, that's unbelievable!" And then the moment arrives. You decide "I have to buy this product!"
This was one of those products to me. I had to have it. I ordered it and had it shipped overnight, just in time for me to take it along during my vacation to Hawaii. While I'd love to tell you it lived up to my expectations, sadly, it fell completely flat.
First, the product design is horrifyingly flawed, as it has no fuel tank whatsoever. At first, I was all stoked, thinking "Sweet, it must be solar powered or something...things such as this are where the word 'epic' originated from!" But, no...no solar panels, nowhere to fuel up, not even so much as a flipping power cord.
Secondly, chicks don't dig it at all. There I was, strutting around on Hawaiian shores with this thing strapped to my back, winking at any hottie I made eye contact with, only to have them roll their eyes at me. They said I looked more like Jabba the Hut than Boba Fett and had no business in speedos. Needless to say, this product flaw irked me. Products shouldn't force you to look fat. HUGE mark against this product right there.
Lastly, performance. Lack of performance I should say. Just imagine how humiliating it is to bet 17 random vacationers you've never met before in your life that you can dive into a volcano and come back to tell about it. After scaling the side of this massive volcano for what seemed like hours, I jump in, thinking to myself "Awesome, I'm about to make some serious bank. I can't wait to see the looks on all of their faces when I fire up my trusty jetpack and emerge from the mouth of this volcano." Boy was I wrong. Not only does this jetpack fail to perform, IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE AN ON SWITCH! Oh, and if you're wondering how my foray into an active volcano ended up...let's just say it earned me the name GHOST.
In conclusion, I would not suggest this product to anyone, for any reason, at any time. Please, save your money and take care of your jetpacking needs elsewhere.

My son has used it several times, durable construction. No holes. It even comes with a repair kit in case it gets a hole. Only complaint is that the backpack straps could be a little smaller as it was loose on my 8 year old.

It is cute and my son loves it. Bought it with the costume but this also needed repaired - the middle blow-up part keeps deflating. The good news is that it came with 3 patches!!
